Warehouse and Logistics

Efficient Storing and Shipping

Scalable and Seamless Warehouse Logistics

Managing inventory and logistics in a large warehouse is complex. Inventory levels continually change: goods are received, removed for assembly or packing, maybe moved to a different storage area, or shipped out. These warehouse logistics require careful and real-time tracking of both finished products and components; everything coming in and out of the warehouse needs to be accounted for and at any point in time, exact inventory levels should be known. When done efficiently this can cut time and cost per order but where there is inefficiency, customers and revenue can be lost. Our warehouse and logistics solutions may be the answer you have been looking for.

PRIDE Industries offers a smooth and effective option for any company looking for a way to distribute its product without the capital or labor investment needed for on-site warehouse facilities. Warehouse and Logistics Common Questions

Warehousing is the organized and secure storage of inventory or goods. Logistics is the coordinated process of retrieving products from the warehouse and going through the steps to shipping them out, and in some cases, arranging the return of products.

Warehouse and logistics management involves the oversight and management of inventory in warehouses and the coordination and logistics of getting the inventory to the end user.

In fulfillment services, warehouses are a necessary part of the logistic process. For easy and fast retrieval, goods and products are typically stored in warehouses adjacent or near to the packaging and shipping area making the fulfillment logistics streamlined and efficient.

Goods or products are ordered, then these items are collected from the warehouse, with real-time tracking that notes the stock level. Goods are kitted or assembled and then packaged for shipment. Labels are produced and carrier tracking is enabled, giving route and time information.

Fulfillment services that provide warehousing and logistics have to consider many key elements, such as organized warehouse storage, inventory management with real-time tracking, streamlined order picking and packing, and reliable dispatch and carrier tracking.

Inbound logistics, outbound logistics, and reverse logistics are the three main logistics types. Inbound is typically raw materials such as components, parts, etc., and refers to the process of goods going from suppliers to production. Outbound logistics is often considered the order fulfillment process where finished goods are typically warehoused and then move from the production facilities. Finally reverse logistics is the process of finished goods returning from the end user to the distribution center or production facility.

The basic function of a warehouse is to securely and safely store goods and inventory that can be easily retried for dispatch. Good warehouse management will mean that stock is monitored to ensure there are no shortages or overstock of goods.
