ROSEVILLE, CA.  — PRIDE Industries is pleased to announce that Dawn Clayton has joined PRIDE’s Board of Directors. Clayton is the General Manager of Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, California, a AAA Four-Diamond premier destination resort.

“Dawn’s experience, leadership, and enthusiasm will add incredible value to PRIDE’s Board of Directors,” said Michael Ziegler, CEO of PRIDE Industries. “Through PRIDE’s partnership with Thunder Valley, Dawn has been an incredible advocate for expanding PRIDE’s mission to create jobs for people with disabilities.”

With 38 years of experience, Clayton has held many leadership roles in the gaming/hospitality industry, including commercial casinos, riverboats, racinos, and Native American properties, starting her career as a Craps Dealer at the Tropicana Resort & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. Under her leadership, Thunder Valley Casino Resort has become one of Placer County, CA’s major employers with 2,600 team members.

A dynamic leader with a record of dedication to excellence, Clayton has shown great ability to apply best business practices in highly competitive markets. In 2016, she was recognized by the Sacramento Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business,” and was featured on the top 100 Women to Watch List (compiled by Bizwomen) and by Forbes Magazine as one of California’s Women Business Leaders.

“I look forward to working with PRIDE’s Board of Directors to create more meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities,” said Dawn Clayton. “The partnership between PRIDE Industries and Thunder Valley for hotel laundry services has been mutually beneficial. PRIDE’s employees help make our organization better!”

Passionate about making a difference in the community, Clayton currently serves on the Board of Directors for several nonprofits, including Lighthouse Counseling and Resource Center, the Placer SPCA, and Courage Worldwide (an organization focused on providing a safe, rehabilitative environment for children rescued from sex trafficking).
