ROSEVILLE — PRIDE Industries (PRIDE) today announced the promotion of Jeff Dern as Chief Financial Officer. PRIDE Industries is a nonprofit social enterprise meeting the manufacturing and facilities service needs of businesses and government agencies nationwide while creating meaningful jobs for people with disabilities.

 

Dern is succeeding Tim Yamauchi who will be stepping down from his role of 14 years. Yamauchi will remain engaged with PRIDE to ensure a seamless transition.

 

Jeff Dern brings 18 years of experience in accounting, finance and audit roles including positions at Oracle Corporation, Ernst & Young, and Arthur Andersen. Dern has an extensive background in corporate finance, treasury, financial planning and analysis, regulatory reporting, board relations, and strategic planning. He joined PRIDE Industries in 2008 as Controller and in October 2014 he was promoted to VP of Finance.

Active in the community, Dern currently serves on the board of the Roseville Chamber of Commerce and Lighthouse Counseling and Family Resource Center in Lincoln, California. He is a volunteer on the California State University (CSU) Sacramento Placer County Advisory Committee. Dern also coaches youth athletics for Lincoln Little League.

 

Dern holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Drexel University, Sacramento and is a certified public accountant (inactive status). He is also a California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) graduate with a B.S. in Business Administration.
