Partnership helps PRIDE Industries identify employment opportunities for deaf individuals

ROSEVILLE – Purple Communications™, Inc. (OTC: PRPL) (“Purple”), a leading provider of innovative communications for people who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech-impaired, has partnered with PRIDE Industries, an organization that creates employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, in an effort to improve the efficiencies of work for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals along with increasing the employment opportunities throughout the United States.

“Purple has developed a strong national connection with the Deaf community,” said Michael Ziegler, president and CEO of PRIDE Industries. “The synergies of technology, support and recruiting outreach are advantageous to both PRIDE and Purple, and most importantly, creating opportunities for individuals often excluded from employment.”

The partnership creates additional PRIDE Industries employment opportunities for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals in both public and private sector facilities maintenance contracts using Purple Communications technologies, like Purple VRS* and Purple VRI*.

“The advantage Purple technology provides is real-time communication for a variety of positions within Pride, including enabling our deaf and hard of hearing with mobility,” Ziegler added. “This allows for a more productive and efficient work environment.”

“PRIDE Industries has a rich and solid history of providing good jobs for individuals who often find it hard to secure employment – including deaf and hard-of-hearing people,” said Purple Vice President Gordon Ellis. “As advocates for the Deaf community, we are proud to partner with PRIDE, offering our communications technologies in the workplace, as well as helping to recruit and identify qualified applicants for their many employment opportunities.”
