ROSEVILLE – PRIDE Industries, a recognized provider of manufacturing and facilities services to business and government, and a leading employer of people with disabilities, has earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) prestigious ENERGY STAR® for its headquarters building, located in Roseville, Ca. The EPA’s ENERGY STAR is the national symbol for protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency. This signifies that PRIDE’s headquarters performs in the top 25 percent of similar facilities nationwide for energy efficiency.

This not only demonstrates the types of energy savings program that PRIDE can deliver to its customers, but it also contributes positively to PRIDE’s bottom line, increasing our capacity to create good jobs for people with disabilities.”
PRIDE’s ENERGY STAR® Certification was completed by Dylan Mechanical Construction Services, a mechanical engineering design and project consultation firm based in Angels Camp, CA. Commercial buildings that earn the ENERGY STAR® use an average of 35 percent less energy than typical buildings and also release 35 percent less carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. PRIDE decreased its energy usage while simultaneously increasing its energy efficiency, which resulted in an annual energy cost savings of 46% compared to the national average of similar facilities.
EPA’s ENERGY STAR® energy performance scale helps organizations assess how efficiently their buildings use energy relative to similar buildings nationwide. A building that scores a 75 or higher on EPA’s 1-100 scale is eligible for the ENERGY STAR®. Commercial buildings that can earn the ENERGY STAR® include offices, bank branches, financial centers, retail stores, courthouses, hospitals, hotels, K-12 schools, medical offices, supermarkets, dormitories, houses of worship, and warehouses.
