SACRAMENTO, Calif., —PRIDE Industries and Crossroads Diversified Services, Inc., two leaders in providing employment training, support, and job creation for people with disabilities, have announced that they will combine operations. Crossroads will join PRIDE beginning July 1.

The two organizations will blend PRIDE Industries’ expertise in serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities with Crossroads’ specialty in mental health-related disabilities. Their joint services will result in enhanced employment training and support services for people with disabilities.

“Crossroads has a long, rich history of successful employment programs for people with disabilities,” said Jeff Dern, President of PRIDE Industries. “We welcome Crossroads’ team members who share our passion for supporting those who need a helping hand. It’s an ideal cultural fit.”

PRIDE Industries employs more than 5,600 people nationwide, 3,350 of whom are people with disabilities. Established in 1966, its customers include small businesses to Fortune 500 organizations as well as federal, state, and local government agencies. PRIDE offers manufacturing and logistics, integrated facilities management, custodial and environmental, energy, and recruitment services.

According to Crossroads Chair Dave Levin, “Our Board believes this move provides the best opportunity for growing Crossroads’ service offerings. PRIDE is a proven leader in serving people with disabilities. As a combined organization, we will exceed the outcomes we could aspire to separately.”

Founded in 1977, Crossroads brings to PRIDE a variety of government contracts and commercial landscape and facilities customers in California, Texas, and Washington state.

Throughout California, Crossroads provides benefits planning and employment services for SSDI/SSI beneficiaries. In Sacramento, the company is one of the largest providers of employment services for persons with mental health disabilities, and they operate an affiliate Job Center that supports more than 2,000 people per year.

Erika Trujillo, Interim President/CEO of Crossroads, also commented, “I am truly proud of the impact Crossroads has had in our community for the past 43 years. To continue to have a positive impact on our community, we constantly strive for ways to reach more people or be more impactful. Joining with PRIDE allows us to do both.
