ACRC Mandate for Work Group Program Participants

March 25, 2020

Dear Work Group clients and caregivers,

To protect individuals with disabilities from exposure to Coronavirus (COVID-19), the local Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) has mandated that all Work Group program participants stop working beginning Friday, March 27 until approximately Monday, April 13.

Previously, we communicated to you that PRIDE’s Work Groups were an exception to Governor Gavin Newsom’s ‘stay at home’ order because they provide essential support to mission-critical business in our community. However, the Regional Center has since changed this guidance out of an abundance of caution as it relates to client health.

We take the disruption to PRIDE’s employees and business very seriously. During this time, your case manager is available to guide you through unemployment benefits and any changes to your social security benefits. Our goal is to help connect you with resources and guidance relating to financial assistance at this time.

Please watch for more information to come from Chief Human Resources Officer Tina Oliveira about benefits to help our PRIDE team members through this difficult time.

If you have any questions, please contact your case manager, Chief Rehabilitation Officer Vic Wursten at (916) 813-4337 or, or Rehabilitation Compliance Manager Dawn Horwath at (530) 308-3589 (work), (530) 648-4047 (cell) or
