PRIDE Industries offers individual instruction and skill development focusing on social, recreation, leisure, domestic, independent living, advocacy, and communication skills. This also includes speech, art, and music therapy.
Assessments
Person-centered model utilized to support personal goals and dreams. Psychological, physiological, developmental, and education characteristics incorporated in onsite and community assessments, with a one-to-three staff ratio.
Behavior Support
Positive support focused on skill acquisition and the teaching of alternative behaviors.
Therapeutic Interventions
- Speech therapy: Sign language, verbalization, picture board and electronic devices instruction to increase functional communication.
- Art therapy: Use of creative art process and art mediums to foster self-expression, self-esteem, and self-confidence.
- Music therapy: Use of musical activities and experiences to elicit expression and personal growth.
Skill Development
Person-specific instruction in social, recreation, leisure, domestic, independent living, safety, advocacy, and communication.
Vocational Training
Use of community and site-based work experience for development of employability skills.
