PRIDE's Integrated Autism Services Project offers adults with autism what has nationally been recognized as "Best Practices" promoting employment, community access and self-sufficiency. What is offered is not a traditional day program; services are designed around the individual and include the following elements:
- Individual Assessment and Planning: Each person is unique, possessing his or her own set of strengths, goals and challenges; service planning with be person-centered directed by the individual and his or her support team;
- Case Management: Project Coordinator will facilitate communication with families, consultants, research entities and referral source;
- Community Advisory Committee: Established to meet the needs of the Project including parents, researchers, state agencies, advocates, service providers, business professionals recruited based on their expertise, involvement and commitment to persons with autism;
- Staff Development: Ongoing training, specific training, outside supervision by consultants; access to research entities and initiatives; staff to be elevated to level of "paraprofessional" to reduce turnover, enhance recruitment and foster career development.
