Own Living Situation

George became employed with PRIDE's help, successGeorge was referred to PRIDE Industries by Alta Regional Center after high school to help him accomplish his goal of working in the community. PRIDE’s Employment Services program provides preparation, training, and placement assistance to learn job-ready skills and gain work experience.  
With PRIDE’s help, George landed a job with Round Table Pizza. He loves his job and the company where he is considered a long-term and valued employee.
Throughout the years, George’s dedication and work ethic have earned him numerous promotions. He began working as a dishwasher and is now a prep cook. As a prep cook, George is gaining new skills and is moving toward a career as a chef. 
Employment connects people with disabilities to their communities and leads to greater independence.  George tells us that his favorite part is “having my own money, and affording my own living situation.”
