Elisabeth Brinton

Elisabeth Brinton

Sr. Vice President, Sales and Marketing

------------------------------------

Elisabeth S. Brinton joined PRIDE Industries as Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Government Affairs in late 2006, and quickly became a key member of the executive leadership team directing the company's future programs and direction. With a 20-year background in marketing, business development, customer relations, PR, advertising, global brand strategy, and investor relations, Brinton's expertise blends strategy development, practical knowledge, well-respected government connections, and goal-oriented, motivational leadership. In her relatively brief tenure, she has already taken the non-profit organization, whose mission is to create jobs for people with disabilities, beyond the $100 million revenue threshold. She is now a Senior Vice President.

Ms. Brinton serves on the Education and Employment Subcommittee of the Governor's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities. Prior to her service in this capacity, while still employed by a local technology company, Elisabeth was appointed by Governor Schwarzenegger to serve as the Co-Chair for the California Department of General Services Small Business Council. Her peers in the High Tech industry elected her Chair of the Sacramento Council for the American Electronics Association (AeA) and a member of AeA's national board of directors. She is a sought-after public speaker and lecturer on leadership. Before joining PRIDE, Brinton worked as the chief marketing officer for Natoma Technologies, Inc., a leading systems integrator and government contractor.

Brinton previously ran global corporate marketing for Loudcloud, helping that company go public in 2001. Prior to that Brinton was CEO and founder of her own full-service public relations and advertising agency, serving major brands such as Nike, Philips Electronics and food giant, Albert Fisher. Earlier in her career, Brinton worked on Capital Hill for a US Congressman and as staff for the House Judiciary Committee.

Brinton also brings a wealth of non-profit leadership experience, having served on the Board of Directors as well as in professional fundraising positions for leading non-profits, including Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, York School and The Big Sur International Marathon. Ms. Brinton heads PRIDE's public sector and commercial sales team, the proposal development and writing team, corporate-wide communications programs, and all government relations projects. Her service on Capitol Hill as a legislative staffer for the House Judiciary Committee and U.S. Congressman Lamar Smith helped hone her negotiating and communication skills, and produced finely tuned political instincts that enable her to understand and advocate for policies that impact services and programs affecting people with disabilities.

She was the lead researcher and policy analyst for former CIA Director and Head of the Joints Chiefs of Staff Admiral Stansfield Turner in the publication of his 1991 book, Terrorism and Democracy. Elisabeth is an honors graduate of Principia College where she won the prestigious national leadership award, The Harry S. Truman Presidential Scholarship. She is an accomplished competitive equestrian specializing in dressage.
