ROSEVILLE – PRIDE Industries today announced the appointment of Michael Laperche as Vice President of Risk Management. He joins PRIDE Industries as the nationally-recognized nonprofit continues to grow in support of its mission: creating jobs for people with disabilities.
In his new position, Laperche will have responsibility for the design and implementation of corporate risk reduction strategies. He will report directly to PRIDE Industries Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Tim Yamauchi.
“Michael is an experienced leader who will make an excellent addition to PRIDE’s management team,” said Yamauchi. “Michael’s diverse background across strategic sectors will support our growth trajectory and guide us through an increasingly complex maze of business and regulatory requirements.”

Laperche brings to PRIDE both public and private sector risk management experience in diverse industries including construction, government, and information technology. Prior to PRIDE, Laperche was Risk Manager for the City of Tampa, Florida. There, he had responsibility for planning, procurement, and administration of the city’s safety, benefits and insurance programs as well as litigation and claims management. Previous experience includes management positions at Nielsen, Vogel Bros. Building, and the State of Florida, Department of Labor. He also served in volunteer roles with the Associated General Contractors and The Salvation Army National Risk Management Committee.
Laperche earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Rhode Island College and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of South Florida. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and is currently working toward completion of his Associate in Risk Management (ARM) certification.
